Terms of Service

Welcome to our Freelance Virtual Assistant Platform

This is an online marketplace platform where freelance professionals advertise their services and where companies, small business owners and individuals order and buy these services.

The following Terms and Conditions (T & C’s) govern your access to this platform and the use of this platform.

Please read the Terms and Conditions carefully before you start to use this platform.

If you do not want to agree to these T & C’s or the Privacy Policies on this platform you must not access or use the platform.

SELLERS:

This type of platform is also known as a Multi-Vendor platform.

“Vendors” on this site, for the definition of these T & C’s, are independent freelancers who wants to advertise their services on this platform.

Vendors are thus “sellers” on this site and thus “freelancers”.

This site allows companies, individuals and small business owners in South Africa to purchase the services of these vendors online or off-line.

Sellers decide their own selling prices and can choose from a list of option how they want to be paid when they list these services on the product page.

Sellers can also offer specific custom orders to buyers in addition to their already listed services on the platform.

Sellers may choose to stay anonymous and can use this platform for all their correspondence and transactions with buyers.

This platform takes, as compensation, a 15% fee [up-front] on the listed selling price and again a 10% fee on delivery.

As an general rule, sellers do not receive direct payments from buyers – instead the platform provides a payment platform [bank account] for both parties.

PAYMENT SYSTEM:

The site administrator(s) assist in helping sellers to deliver on their works as specified in their listings and in the agreed time frame.

The platform will only accredits [make payment to] sellers when an order is completed AND fully paid by the buyer.

Orders can not be delivered to buyers before full payment are made and reflected in the bank account.

Cash on delivery (COD) means, for the purpose of this platform, payments are received in the bank account on or before the day a delivery is approved and confirmed to be made by a certain date and time.

Buyers will receive conformation from site admin on delivery dates.

See our definition of what exactly a “completed order” is, in terms of the T&C’s

If an order is cancelled (for any reason), the funds [deposits] already paid by the buyer will be refunded to the buyer in the form of a credit balance or coupon. Credit balances can not be withdrawn for cash but can instead be used for future purchases.

BUYERS:

Buyers buy services from sellers [vendors/freelancers] and will [and should] use the service descriptions AND reviews to make a decision to use or not to use the seller for the job(s) they want done.

Buyers must pay a deposit, an amount that will be indicated on the product page, before an order becomes valid.

This deposit is usually 15% or 25% of the total selling price.

Buyers can ask for custom orders or quotations, from a specific seller, before they place a final order request and pay the deposit.

Payments for custom orders are usually made separately via custom order number but still via this platform.

Buyers may choose to stay anonymous and can use this platform for all their correspondence and transactions with sellers.

Buyers must complete the “I Ordered A Service” form directly after they placed an official order.

This information will be forwarded to the seller as soon as it is received.

COMMUNICATIONS:

This platform’s site admin will act as “post-office” for all communications between buyers and sellers.

This platform [site admin] will also strive and help sellers and buyers too negotiable a fair deal between each other when and were custom orders are requested.

Note: “Site Admin” will always assume that buyers and seller wants to stay anonymous until asked otherwise.

Communication will be handled as such.

SITE ADMIN ROLE

This is a private platform and is run as a private business, like any other private business.

The manager or managers of the platform is called SITE ADMIN and they have full access to the back-office part of this platform and monitor and control the day-to-day activities of this platform.

Site Admin can accept, refuse, cancel or ban any listing, any buyers or any sellers from using this platform.

The purpose of the platform is to bring buyers and sellers together and give buyers access to people skills that they can buy [hire] on a freelance basis without direct negotiations with freelancers [sellers].

Site Admin basically act as a “middleman” to give buyers the assurance that the freelancer(s) they choose can deliver on their promises and deliver on-time before full payment is made.

Site Admin act a “in-between” to help them [freelancers/seller] understand exactly what is required from them and the outcome is , the buyer is looking for.

Site Admin assist all parties in the transfer of funds [payments] between buyers and sellers.

Buyers can use the “Request To Site Admin” form to ask for custom orders where the skills of more than one individual freelancer may be needed to deliver on a specific project.

REVIEWS

Feedback reviews from buyers to individual sellers AFTER they completed an order are essential for sellers to build trust and a better reputation – if they did a good job.

Leaving reviews demonstrate the buyer’s overall experience with the sellers and their service and makes it easier for other buyers to make a decision to hire or not to hire a specific seller.

Leaving a buyer’s feedback is a basic prerogative of a buyer.
